Just Gene Therapy is a not for profit organisation established to raise funds for gene therapy for cystic fibrosis.

Rosie Barnes OBE

After a career in marketing and market research, Rosie Barnes became the SDP Member of Parliament for Greenwich from 1987 to 1992 following a successful by-election campaign and a general election. After moving into the charitable world, she became Chief Executive of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust for 14 years before retiring in 2010.

She remains very committed to improving the clinical care of those with CF and to identifying and developing a long term cure which would remove or considerably reduce the burden of this very distressing disease. To this end, she was instrumental in the establishment and funding of the UK CF Gene Therapy Consortium, to address the problem of CF at its genetic root.

She is now the Patron of Child Health International, a charity which focuses on the needs of those with CF in under-developed countries, particularly those which were formerly part of the Soviet Union.

She sees Just Gene Therapy as a natural continuation of the vital research for a long-term cure for CF.
